" Dr. Amish Mehta is a dentist with a difference. When I say that, you have to experience his craft and his skill and the way he puts even the most reluctant patients to ease. For the most of us, going to the dentist seems like a date with terror. For me, a 28-year old journalist, it was no different. For years, I had put off an appointment, until I made one with Dr Mehta. We had talked to him on numerous occasions while we were doing a story at The Times of India and he had come across as a friendly, warm and humane person. That is why I went to him. Immediately, he put me to ease. He explained in great detail the procedure to be carried out and how it would help me. He was generous with his time and it was because of that I turned up for all my appointments. He made sure that he explained every little thing that was being done. How many doctors can claim to have such patience with their patients? In the waiting room, I always saw smiling, relaxed faces - a testimony to the fact that he treated everyone equally and patients kept coming back to him. I am most happy with the way he carried out his entire treatment. More than that, I am grateful for the way he erased the fear of treatment. More than that, I am grateful for the way he erased the fear of dentists, his impeccable manners and how he always showed up with a smile.
